Our Unwound Past || Max & Blake
Max nodded in understanding, “Pity though. I love cats.” She forgot the fact that she had nutella on her face. She took a bite of her sandwich and stared at Blake who laid his head on the table. She swallowed her sandwich and gave a melancholic smile as she heard Blake say those meaningful words. “Thank you, Blake. That’s the nicest thing I’ve heard anybody say to me.” Max blushed. He blushed even more “You heard…you heard that?” his mouth went dry and he sipped his milkshake. She wasn’t supposed to hear that. She’s going to avoid him and they’re not gonna talk again ever. He felt horrible for some matter. “I’m sorry.” he faced her “Really, I am.”
She took a sip of her milkshake as she nodded. “Don’t worry,” she said, “That’s okay. I appreciate your words. It was lovely to hear.” Max smiled at him so he could know that she was being truthful. “Don’t feel sorry. It’s really okay.”
He continued to look at her, his head resting on the table. His finger was playing with the liquid drops forming all around the glass, reflecting the awkward air surrounding the two. He took a big gulp of air and shyly left a kiss on her cheek, his lips stained with nutella.
She took a sip of her milkshake and after that she felt him kiss her cheek. Max blushed at that, she didn’t know what to say. She later on smiled, gave themselves a moment of silence, before paying him back with a kiss on the cheek too.
He grabbed a few table napkins from the drawer and wiped the mess off his face. That second, his mom went down with a curler hanging off a lock of her hair. She looked ridiculous in her get-up. She treated nap-time like an eight-hour slumber.
“Oh I see you two decided to eat. How nice!” She said with a yawn in the middle. “Just leave everything on the table when you’re done. I’ll clean it up.”

“But you are perfect!” he chuckled even more and placed Nutella whiskers on her pink cheeks. The way she looked made his heart race, like he wanted to cover her up and claim her as his. She was indeed perfect.
He wiggled his nose and grinned. “Well someone’s a kitty cat today.”
“I’m not.” Max said, “Nobody’s perfect, Blake. Not even the gods are perfect.” Max told him. The fact that she had Nutella on her face made it a little uncomfortable because of the stickiness but she decided that it was fine.
“Well then, good sir, I hope you like cats.” Max chuckled.
“I’m not a cat person. I’m sorry” he pouted and took a bite off his sandwich. He looked at her afterwards. Her bangs looks a bit crooked from all the movement, there was nutella on her cheeks, and her top was a little bit crumpled.
“Maybe you are imperfect.” he laid his head on the table, face down.
“But for me, you’re the most perfect being my eyes have ever set upon” he said, barely a whisper. His cheeks felt hot again.

Poseidon & Nerites | At The Park
When Poseidon sees him, he knows immediately who it is. Of course he does. It would be wrong if he didn’t.
They don’t run to each other. No dramatic leaping whatsoever. Instead, he calmly sits beside him on the park bench.
“Last time I saw you, you were a shellfish,” said Poseidon.
He smiled, “Nothing can stop true love.”
“You’re getting cheesy, Nerites,” said Poseidon, laughing.
“But you love me,” said Nerites, amused.
“Of course I do. You said no to Aphrodite. You chose me,” said Poseidon. “She even offered you wings. Now that’s love.”
“Nothing can compare to the sea. Not even wings, Poseidon.”
“Now you’re just making me blush.”
And they sat there, basking in each other’s presence. You would think that after hundred of years of waiting, they’d already be dragging each other to bed. But no, Poseidon would wait the extra hour, just to watch the birds with him.
// I blame the sudden rising of the temperature on the kids who overuse “Fuck it we’re young”
because they probably tried to set the world on fire.
and succeeded.

He sat down beside her, maintaining a comfortable distance between them. He took one of the sandwiches and gave it to her. She must have been hungry by the looks on her warm eyes. Camp was a long way from here. He also passed her one of the glasses of milkshakes.“Shit” he muttered as he took his own glass. A little bit dripped along his fingers. “I have to wash this off”
He stood up with that look on his face everytime he goofs. Like an embarassed and sad expression. A bit of a blush on his cheeks as well.
After washing, he sat down again. His hands were still dripping with water from the faucet. He didn’t know why he did the next thing. Maybe because he was a goofball.
“Stop being so perfect.” he said, chuckling. He sprinkled a light spray of water from his hands on her face and laughed even more. She was adorable.
“Hey!” Max said, while laughing. “I didn’t come here to get wet, okay?” she said as she wiped her face using her hands.
Max later on realized what he had said, “Perfect?” Max chuckled at that, she seldom heard that word from people to her. “I’m not perfect.” Max smiled.
Hearing that from him made her happy and sad at the same time. She wasn’t doing anything. She wasn’t trying to be perfect, but nonetheless, he thought of her was perfect. That made her smile. “Perhaps, you won’t think I’m perfect if I do this.” Max took a bit of froth from the milkshake and wiped it on Blake’s cheeks earning him a smirk from her.
“But you are perfect!” he chuckled even more and placed Nutella whiskers on her pink cheeks. The way she looked made his heart race, like he wanted to cover her up and claim her as his. She was indeed perfect.

He blushed when she gave up her work to help get rid of the stain. He tried to hide his smile, but just couldn’t. Maybe she did care for him like he cared for her. “I’m a clumsy fool.” he shrugged “Thanks, Max”He placed the slices of bread on a couple of plates and began spreading nutella on top of them. Some of the goo would spill on the plates, but at least they haven’t splat on the floor yet.
“Naah, that’s okay.” Max said, while cleaning his shirt up. “This happens a lot.” Max came back to her work and added, “Besides, this kind of work is really messy.” She started to blend the milkshake. After a few while, the milkshake was done. She took two glasses and poured all milkshakes there. “I’m done.” Max smiled at Blake.
All Blake could do was smile at her as she finished her work without any flaws. She was flawless in everything and all he was was a goof. This thought made him set aside the knives and finish the sandwiches. He lightly placed them on the center of the table and went to the faucet to wash his hands.
Max went beside Blake to wait for him to finish washing is hands as she was to do the same. It was a routine, washing hands before eating. The smell of the food made her hungrier. Once, was Blake was done, she washed her hands. While washing, she hummed a song. After washing, she went to the table and sat down while still humming. She smiled to Blake and motioned for him to sit down beside her.
